FTCA Jobs

Many leading pet products companies offer competitive internships and career opportunities including Nestle Purina, a producer of many well-known brands of pet products.

For students, internships are available in range of areas including research and development, quality assurance, processing operations and product safety. Most internships are paid, full-time positions for a period of 8-12 weeks in the summer. Internships are a tremendous opportunity for students to live in a new place, work with professionals and define their career goals, expectations and preferences.

Employers provide internships as a tool to test-drive potential candidates for future positions. It is not unusual for companies to offer full-time positions to former interns. Some even reward outstanding interns with part-time work upon returning to school.

Upon graduation, students have a variety of options to pursue. The same companies that offer internships to students are seeking full-time employees in many of the same areas … research and development, quality assurance, production operations, safety and more.

Because the program is new, placement history is not available, but companies are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to interview FTCA graduates. NEBRASKA graduates in related programs that have gone to work in the pet food industry have found many choices available. The positions generally include room for career development, high salaries and excellent benefits.
